Taking you off the beaten path!
This Expedition is a two day’s one night jungle trek which includes a few hours hike into the jungle. On this trek participants learn about Belize’s flora and fauna, edible and non-edible plants as well as medicinal plants.
Take a walk back into time, in underground caves where you will see evidence of the once flourishing Maya civilization, evidence of the sacrifices and rituals once done by our ancestors during their ceremonies.
Upon arrival at the camp site, camp is set up and dinner is cooked over an open fire under the bright illumination of the stars (if any).
After dinner, as the night time and nocturnal animals come alive, we set out on a jungle night safari to look at night life. Under the canopy you can listen to the sounds of owls, howler monkeys, and the occasional king of the jungle, the Jaguar. Experience the Real Wild Kingdom for a few hours. From there on, we proceed back to the camp for a great night rest in Hennessey hammocks.
The next day we break up camp and do some more cave exploration. Late morning we head back to out to the starting point at the Jungle Lodge.
